In Tornell Sac we produce top quality sacks, thanks to the prestigious Windmöller&Hölscher machinery and using the best
materials (after thorough evaluation of suppliers).
Our sacks are manufactured and tested under a quality assurance programme issued by the Industrial Security Directorate.
We have efficient equipment and offer the best technical solutions. We certify the complete traceability chain of our materials
through a barcode system and by printing a batch code on each product.
Constantly adapted to new technologies, at the present time Tornell Sac is capable of producing an average of 150.000 sacks
per day. That makes us one of the most efficient companies in our field.
Our goal is to keep the company in continuous improvement, so that we can keep offering high quality products which meet
customers’ needs and at competitive prices. But there is much more behind numbers. In Tornell Sac we think that dealing

So much has happened since 1962, when José Tornell (father) started making sacks in small premises in Barcelona.
Then, most sacks were produced manually. Over the years, more and more automatic machinery was added, which
led to faster production and a better final product. The company moved to its current location in La Llagosta
In 1995 Tornell Sac received the approval to manufacture sacks for hazardous products under ADR, TPC, IMDG, IMO.
As regards the recycling of used sacks, that same year Tornell Sac adhered to REPASACK in accordance with the
current standards in Germany.
Concerned about the environment and with the aim of offering maximal guarantees, in 2002 the company entered
the Health General Register, with number 39.03012/B, issued by the Public Health Directorate of the Ministry of
Health. In 2011 Tornell Sac was recognized with ISO 9001 certificate for its quality management system. Nowadays,
the factory is fully automated.
SAP (leader in enterprise software) is used both in the production chain and in the administration and accounting
department. Combining the latest technology with a personalized and warm service, today José and Antonio Tornell
are in charge of one of the most competitive enterprises in their field.
Food safety is one of the priorities of Tornell Sac. For that reason the materials used in the production of bags comply with current regulations and are
certified for contact with foods.
